Title: The good ole days
Post by: Gadz on July 20, 2013, 12:33:15 AM
Nick (sluskya) and I got drunk tonight and started talking about the good ole days in Casual.  It was the best time I've ever had playing video games.  I miss you all. To anyone who may check these forums still, thanks for the memories.

The cougar stories were surreal. They were part of the magic.

Married, two children and seeing another cougar on the side?  Or did you, perhaps, dump the mom and go for the daughter?

The two are not mutually exclusive.

As a reminder, for those unaware, most of our old front page updates are still archived at http://www.casualguild.us/uploads/old_updates/archive.php.htm (http://www.casualguild.us/uploads/old_updates/archive.php.htm)

I left her in April. I basically packed everything I could in my car while she was gone for the weekend.  When she got home, I told her I had to leave and drove to Michigan from Kansas City in the middle of the night.  Oh and she ended up getting scammed by some guy she met through an online dating site for $40k-$50k.

I'm living in Ann Arbor now and dating a 21 year old, but working on this cute 23 year old engaged co-worker.  I will be burning in hell at some point in the not too distant future I'm sure.

Quick update on this part.  Mission accomplished <7 weeks after starting my job with her.  Good times ahead.

This scenario is just about as fucked up as the cougar.  I have to tell this story.  So this girl lives at her parent's house...with her fiance.  However, for the last week she has been at my place every night after work.  Sometimes she comes over for a couple hours, sometimes for the entire night.  She just left here at 11:45 pm on a Wednesday.  So she is over at my place (pretty much every night) cheating on her fiance who is living at her parent's house while this is going on.   I can't make this shit up.

I wonder how long she can keep the "working late at the office" lie going.

In other news.  Here is a pic of my 21 year old girlfriend's ass.  Compliments of the house.

Ahh, reading the archives makes me so nostalgic. It's never going to be the same!

Anyone coming back to level to 100?

I was Szader, a Warrior in Fires of Heaven back in the days of Vanilla, and you guys were our biggest rivals.  I just had a wave of nostalgia about the funny updates on your home page.  One of my favorite banners I actually saved onto my computer years and years ago.

Here is it:

Digo was the best.  I remember after a Molten Core raid one day when I looted the server first Spinal Reaper.  It looked just like the Arcanite Reaper, only a slightly darker shade.  Anyway, while hanging out in your vent, Digo and I dueled outside of the zone in.

Anyway, I lucked out and somehow landed 3 crits in a row on him, and he died.  You're never supposed to die in duels.  Anyway, he was pissed, but we laughed.  That axe was awesome.

A few other of my older pictures aren't of Casual per say, but I remember the time frame quite well.

All these years later and I still read through these a couple times a year and reminisce. All the best to anyone who may still do the same.

I spent some time to go through my save files and archive.org to restore a bunch of the previously broken images. The 2005-era stuff is a lot more complete now.

I was going to go maces to continue the legacy...  but, the simulation numbers won't let me.  Perhaps in Nax.

Got myself a classic Ashbringer last week and started thinking about tbc. Playing here was definately my fondest memories of wow. Listening to Digo tell stories about back in his wild days, or reading the cougar escapades as if they were some live reality tv special....good times! I guess we also killed some bosses to right?

Tonight I'm going to dog through those archived updates, see if things were as funny as I remember. Didn't we pretend aqua was skipped on a warglaive, and created fake news for drama? We were ahead of our times.

GG guys
